The Hacienda Temozon

This majestic Hacienda was the setting for the February 1999 meeting between United States President Bill Clinton and Mexican President Dr. Ernesto Zedillo.

Located just 35 minutes south of Merida’s International Airport in the heart of Yucatán 
1 1/2 hr flight from Miami. 
1 1/2 hr flight from México City. 
2 hrs flight from Houston.

Nearby attractions:

• Uxmal - Argued by some as the most beautiful of all Mayan Cities.
• Merida City- A must for the shopper and sightseeing tours.
• Parador Ochil -a rural area to buy handmade Mexican arts and crafts at reasonable prices.
• Cancún. A short 2 1/2 hour drive from the Hacienda is Cancun, the magnificent seaside resort and the number three international tourist destination.
• Chichen Itza - the most visited of all Mayan ruins.  Visit it and you will see why.
• The Puuc Route- a route that encompasses the heart of the Yucatan and reveals all the secrets of the Mayan civilization.  A wonderful drive.

Rooms & Prices

Accommodations:

Once a private family-run estate, the Hacienda’s spacious rooms and suites reflect the grandeur of the past.
Many include private outdoor small-plunge pools.

All 26 rooms and suites are housed in the Hacienda’s original building.

The main house of the Hacienda, situated on a large terrace is home to the Hacienda’s dining room, the library and the Master Suite.

The Master Suite, "El Cuarto del Patrón" has its own pool, 2 terraces, a private garden and the most wonderful bathroom which beckons you to stay and relax.

The 14 superior rooms feature large bathrooms, bronze beds with hand-embroidered bed linens and hammocks.

Junior Suites have a large living area and an outdoor plunge pool or a terrace.

Four One-bedroom suites offer separate living rooms and private plunge pools.

The Two Bedroom suites have 2 rooms, 2 bathrooms and a private plunge pool.


Recreational Facilities:

Swimming pool and Jacuzzi
The impressive 48-meter swimming pool and Jacuzzi sit within the Hacienda’s beautiful landscaped tropical gardens.   Here you can easily enjoy the day reading or just listening to the sounds of the many tropical birds which live in the nearby jungle. 

Library
The Hacienda’s library provides many books on the history and culture of the Mayans, as well as information on local flora and fauna.  Books are in English, Spanish, French and Italian. For evening entertainment, games such as cards, backgammon, chess, dominoes and dice are also available.

Cycling trips
Guests can enjoy cycling trips around the Hacienda estate, to the nearby village with its, cemetery and orange groves. Also visit the neighboring Uayalceh Hacienda, which is still a working estate producing sisal-which is used in making rope.

Tennis Court
The estate’s old cattle stockyards has been transformed into a flood-lit tennis court for guests’ use. Racquets and balls are available.

Walking-Jogging Track
The Hacienda’s 37-hectacre gardens features a walking-jogging path for guests who enjoy walking or jogging.


Spa Facilities

Massage
Guests can enjoy a variety of massages - from Mayan to Swedish - Enjoy a massage on the terrace of your suite, or in the gardens,  or if you prefer, in the privacy of your room. 

Gymnasium
The Hacienda has its own gymnasium with a wide range of modern exercise machines.


Restaurant Facilities:

The Restaurant
The Restaurant, situated in the cool, airy environment of the main house, offers an wide array of local Yucatan specialties as well as international dishes complete with a children’s menu.  A chef is always on hand to prepare special-diet meals and vegetarian dishes and cater to your every desire. 

In-room dining
Guests can enjoy private dinners either in their rooms or suites, or in one of the many romantic corners dotted around the Hacienda and its grounds.

The Bar
The Hacienda’s bar's atmosphere will excite relax and fascinate you. The bar is is open from 10am until 11pm preparing your favorite libations and tropical specialties.


Meeting Facilities
The Hacienda’s meeting room, which can host up to 200 people, is the ideal place for business meetings or for cultural seminars.  Have your next meeting where two presidents met.  The elegance, privacy, and attention to detail will surely make a productive meeting.
