The Barcelo Maya Beach is a masterpiece of Spanish architecture. It is 95km from Cancun and 80 km from Cancun International Airport; 25km from Playa del Carmen and 35km from Tulum. Inaugurated in October 1999 this hotel is sure to surpass your expectations.

Rooms

The hotel has 303 single rooms, 288 doubles, 18 junior suites and 3 master suites. All rooms are equipped with a king- or queen-size bed, terrace or balcony, fully equipped bathroom with hairdryer, coffee maker, minibar, air conditioning, heating, Internet access, satellite TV, telephone and safe.

Facilities

The complex has two swimming pools with Jacuzzi; a playground and "Micky Maya" kid's club; the "Capitán Morgan" discotheque featuring international music; stores where you can buy gifts, liquor and tabacco, souvenirs and jewelry; a gym, sauna, Jacuzzi, Turkish bath, beauty salon and medical center.

There are also 3 tennis courts, a sports track, volleyball, pétanque, a gym, aerobics, basketball, mini-golf, dance classes, soccer, table tennis, badminton, shuffleboard, rifle shooting, darts and billiards in addition to a full range of water-sports including windsurfing, sailing, water-skiing, scuba diving, snorkeling, kayaks, catamarans, pedal boats, sunfish, sea tricycles, aqua-gymnastics, water polo and water basketball.

Meeting Rooms

The hotel has two convention halls which can be converted to six meeting rooms with capacities ranging from 45 to 350 people. These facilities are fully equipped with the latest audio-visual equipment, perfect for organizing all kinds of business and social events.

Restaurants

The complex has a total of 6 restaurants:

Grill restaurants: "Rancho Grande" in the Barceló Maya Beach and "Capitán Morgan" in the Barceló Maya Caribe. Capacity 500 pax & 300 pax respectively. Opened from 10:30 to 18:30 h.

A la Carte: "El Agave" (Mexican cuisine) and "El Quijote" (Spanish cuisine). Formal wear is required at these restaurants.
Capacity 120 & 90 pax respectively. Only dinner, opened from 18:00 to 22:00 h. (Reservations are required)

Each hotel also has a buffet-style restaurant. Opened for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Bars

The complex has a total of 6 bars, 3 in each hotel, with different styles: 2 lobby bars opened from 9:00 to 24:00 h., 2 bars in the Theater opened from 18:00 to 24:00 h. and 2 poolside bars opened from 9:00 to 18:00 h. In addition to that we have a Disco Bar at your disposal, opened from 22:30 to 02:00 h.

Activities

The complex is justifiably renowned for its excellent day and night-time entertainment programs for both adults and children.

Activities take place on the beach, around the swimming pools or in the spectacular Kukulcán theater which features typical shows and performances every night for hotel guests.
