Avalon Reef Isla Mujeres

The Maya people once thought of Isla Mujeres as a sanctuary of Ix Chel, the goddess of childbirth, weaving, the moon, and medicine. A few hundred years later the early Spanish explorers, after encountering the obviously feminine figures of the fertility goddess, gave the island its name - Isla Mujeres.

Currently, the island offers visitors rare shopping experiences, a beautiful tropical setting, tranquil ambiance, beaches and snorkeling opportunities second to none. Brand-new in spring, 2002, this property offers an unparalleled location on the secluded island sanctuary of Isla Mujeres. The most striking quality of this idyllic resorts is the breathtaking, panoramic vista of the crystalline waters and coral reef that surround them, reflecting off of one of the whitest beaches in all of Mexico. The Avalon Reef Club Tower, a prominently sweeping mid-rise retreat, features 83 guest rooms and 6 suites, while the Reef Club villas features 55 charming Spanish-style studios, one and two bedroom villas. 

The Avalon Reef Club is situated on the northern tip of Isla Mujeres, only 6 ½-miles northeast of Cancun on the reef that separates the Caribbean Sea and Gulf of Mexico. It is a 20-minute boat ride to the pier in Cancun, which is a 20-minute drive to the Cancun International Airport and a one to two-hour drive to most sightseeing attractions such as Mayan archeological sites and ecological parks.

There are 110 standard rooms with queen or single sized beds and studios with king or single sized beds.

Studio Room
Guest room includes one king bed or two single beds, view of Caribbean, private balcony. Room amenities such as: air conditioned, ceiling fans, kitchenette, clock radio with CD player, shower with bath amenities, color satellite TV, telephone, in-room safe, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, coffee maker.

Standard Room
Guest room includes one queen bed or two single beds. Room amenities such as: air conditioning, radio clock with CD player, color satellite TV, telephone, ceiling fans, shower with bath amenities, coffer maker, in-room safe, ocean view, iron and ironing board, and hair dryer.

Guests may select from a choice of two dining options at the Avalon Reef Club. The pool/beach bar is the perfect respite for fun, sun, relaxing and a variety of exotic cocktails and light fare.

Mi Casa es Su Casa
Mexican restaurant with A la carte service. Dinner only. Reservations required. Dress code: long pants, collared shirts, closed-toe shoes for men.
Open Tuesday through Sunday from 18:00 PM to 22.00 PM. (Only with reservation with concierge).

Kelly's Restaurant
This causal eatery brings variety to the Resort as each Kelly's daily breakfast and lunch buffets feature countless Mexican and American favorites.

The spa offers everything from relaxing massages and calming body treatments to vitalizing aromatherapy and soothing facial treatments. Spa services are not included in the Meal & Beverage program.
